About Me

Claudia Wolf (She/Her)

Owner and Lead Therapist

I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, yoga teacher and trauma specialist; offering embodied trauma support and holistic recovery approaches on Wadawarrung/ Wathaurong Country (Grovedale). I am fully trained in EMDR, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and have done my foundations of Resource Therapy (parts work).
I have worked  in Out of Home Care, the health sector, disability, and mental health, and I launched Wolf Therapeutic Community in January 2022. My passion is supporting individuals to heal from trauma and achieve meaningful growth by learning new skills and connecting to their existing resources.
I am part of the queer community and love working with sexually and gender diverse folx. I am the proud parent of an auDHDr as well as a late identified auDHDr myself, and work from an affirming model to help ND clients embrace (rather than target) their diversity through therapy.
I do not offer NT social  or communication skills training, rather to practice being authentically you.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I schedule an appointment?

Call, email, text, or hit the Get In Touch button. We can send information about our services, provide a price list, and answer any questions. If you would like to proceed, we will send you an intake form to complete.

How can I pay for therapy?

We accept private paying clients, NDIS funded participants (plan or self managed), and can  offer Medicare rebates for eligible mental health care plans.

You can choose different ways to pay for your appointment. You can process a payment at the end of your session, otherwise clients (or plan managers) are sent an invoice after the session via email to be paid within 3 days. There is a link for online payment (fees may apply) or you can choose bank transfer.

How long will the process take?

We will endeavour to get in touch with you as soon as possible after you contact us. In terms of therapy, the path to recovery is different for everyone. EMDR therapy is a medium-term therapy, requiring a fortnightly commitment of several months depending on the complexity of issues. Counselling and Therapist supported yoga can be done occasionally or regularly, depending on your needs.

What is the investment?

Deciding how to manage your mental health is a huge step, and is often an investment in your future. Please click here for detailed price lists.

Please contact us for training and consultation quotes.

Are you a psychologist?

No; I'm an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. Accredited Mental Health Social Workers (AMHSWs) are recognised providers with Medicare Australia, delivering clinical social work services in mental health settings and utilising a range of evidence-based strategies.

AMHSWs provide a unique contribution to the mental health space in their holistic approach to working with a person. The advanced training that is expected of AMHSW prepares and provides them with the skills for working with people with very complex presentations and co-morbidities. AMHSWs are highly trained and educated professionals, meeting some of the highest standards of professional regulation in Australia. Visit our resources page for more information on AMHSWs.

In addition to my Bachelor of Social Work, I hold a Bachelor of Health Science, Certificates in Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs, a Graduate Certificate in Developmental Trauma, and training and certification in yoga teaching, EMDR therapy (introduction and advanced levels), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (basic and advanced) and RI-EMDR therapy.

Tamara works in collaboration with Wolf Therapeutic Community to offer trauma-informed mental health support work, in home and out and about. She has close to a decade of experience helping NDIS participants to build their capacity to engage in their community, take values led action, and grow confidence in their recovery journey. She has a background as an NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner and has qualifications and training in Mental Health, AOD and Disability.  She is interested in Collaborative, Proactive approaches and Neurodiversity affirming practice.

Tamara particularly loves working with autistic and gender diverse individuals. She also supports clients dealing with psychosocial stressors and mental illness from a person centred and Acceptance Commitment Therapy framework. She utilises skills such gardening, nature,  gaming, and special interests to connect with her clients.

We provide therapy, yoga, training, and mental health support work on Wadawurrong Country. We are queer-affirming, neurodiversity-affirming, and welcome people from all walks of life.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work, play, and live. We value their continued connection and contribution to land, water and community, and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. This always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
